PE 185 Abs Lower Body

For a great all around workout which includes both cardio and resistance exercises. The Abs Lower body class will focus on toning and sculpting while developing a stronger "core" including the abdominal, quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteal muscles. This course involves the use of many different exercises, each of which targets a different desired training effect. The course will include the use of body weight resistance, Reebok core boards, BOSU balls, aerobic benches, physioballs, Body Bars, dumbbells, medicine balls and resistance tubing. This course is accommodating to and will challenge all fitness levels.

PE 185 Cardio Kick-Boxing

This is a fast paced exercise class that combines real kick-boxing techniques to modern dance beats for a great workout. Rated as the #1 calorie burner with 600-800 calories burned per workout. This group class targets all the major muscle groups of the body for an incredibly effective workout while reducing stress and improving self-confidence.

PE 185 Step/Floor-Step/Sculpt

Aerobic Fitness utilizing the step and floor to improve and maintain cardio-respiratory endurance, burns fat, and improves strength, flexibility and endurance. Classes will include orientation in performance technique and safety. Pre and post assessments of physical fitness components will be utilized to encourage and measure improvement. This course emphasizes cardiovascular fitness and fun. A typical class includes a warm-up, 20 to 30 minutes of high- and low-impact aerobic dance moves to train the cardiovascular system and burn calories, a cool-down, muscular endurance exercises, and stretching. Each course will focus on a specific fitness goal. Step aerobics will strive to improve general cardiovascular fitness while Step/Sculpt will work towards achieving cardiovascular improvement while sculpting and toning the muscles of the body.

PE 185 Zumba

Zumba's Cardio Party kicks it up a notch! While incorporating all of the basic rhythms & dance beats additional rhythms and more extensive choreography can be introduced to accommodate various levels and increase the aerobic benefit. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms which sculpt & tone the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

PE 185 Body Sculpt

This course emphasizes muscular endurance training for the abdominals, upper & lower body. In a typical session, the course will use various aerobic benches, BOSU & physioballs and multiple resistance devices to target specific muscles and body parts. Emphasis will be placed on sculpting and toning the muscles. This course would be an excellent addition to the training program of an individual who regularly participates in a cardiovascular training program but is striving for that more athletic or highly fit body.
