Do you enjoy playing basketball, but do not belong to a team or group to play with? This is the perfect class for you. The course incorporates both open play and tournament formats. Good news: Like to play but need some time to develop that 3 point shot? Know the rules, know the basics, but looking for more than another game of rat ball? We've got what you're looking for. All ability levels are welcomed. Come get some great exercise and play the game for the fun of it.

Golf PE 185


An introductory course to the game that includes swing techniques for distance, pitching, chipping and putting; rules, etiquette, and golf vocabulary. A course for all golfers that reviews swing techniques for all situations, students in this class refine their skills allowing the golfer to hone their basic skill with time on the driving range and putting green. This course fits the golfer from beginner to advanced levels in the basic skills and knowledge of golf to enable the student to play in a satisfying manner. Why pay range fees for only a few swings? Take this course and get the quivalent of up to 85 buckets of balls at the range. Volleyball PE 185

This Class is an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge, enjoy participation and improve their basic skills for recreational volleyball.

This class covers skills, drills, offensive and defensive strategies, rules, but it truly emphasizes laughs, a minimum of embarrassment, and lots of game play! Bowling PE 185

Looking for something to do? Always wanted to learn how to bowl? Never had the time to join a league? This is the class for you. The course will cover the basics of bowling;stance, approach, delivery and release. Including instruction of the three bowling styles and the three types of ball actions. Adv Bowling PE 185

In this class students will learn how to identify the strengths of their games and improve upon weaknesses. They will learn to recognize and adapt to varying alley conditions. Fencing PE 185

Learn the classical art of fencing from basic footwork to the fundamentals of strategy and tactics that involve foot and blade techniques. Learn to appreciate fencing as well as the overall aerobic conditioning of the fencer. Learn theory beginning with the 'Rules of Engagement' and progressing through the move/counter-move 'physical game of chess'. The class is taught slowly to orient the student towards an appreciation of a lifetime recreational activity.

 

Racquetball PE 185

Racquetball is lots of fun and easy to learn! This course is designed for students with limited or no prior racquetball experience. The students will be introduced to the basic shots (forehand, backhand, ceiling, and kill) and serves (drive and lob), as well as beginning level strategy for singles, "cut-throat" and doubles. By the end of the term, students will be familiar with the rules, scoring and etiquette involved in the sport. The course will provide the students the opportunity to learn basic racquetball skills through participation in drills, actual game play. This class ensures that everyone will be playing the game, enjoying success and getting fitness benefits as well.

 
Adv Racquetball PE 185

The course is designed for students with intermediate to advanced racquetball experience. The students will review the basic shots (forehand, backhand, ceiling, kill, lob serve, and drive serve) and develop intermediate/advanced shots (z-serve, around the wall, drop, and lob shots). Students will also be introduced to the mental game of racquetball. The course will provide the students with the opportunity to learn intermediate and advanced racquetball skills and strategy through participation in drills, actual game play. Come learn from one of the best. This instructor has 20+ years tournament experience, is a division "A" player, and a 2-time national doubles medal winner!

Tennis PE 185

The course is designed for students with limited or no prior tennis experience. The students will be introduced to the basic strokes (forehand, backhand, lob, smash and spin and volley) and the serve. Learn the basics of competitive play including game strategy and planning. Most of all have fun and learn a game that can become a lifetime of enjoyment. By the end of the term, students will be familiar with the rules, scoring and etiquette involved in the sport. The course will provide students with the opportunity to learn basic tennis skills through participation in drills, actual game play.

Avdanced Tennis PE 185

The course is designed for students with a moderate to intermediate level of tennis experience. In addition to reviewing and refining basic strokes (forehand, backhand, volley, serve), the students will be introduced to the approach shot, overhead smash and lob, as well as how to hit with top spin and slice. The course will provide the students the opportunity to learn intermediate tennis skills and strategy through participation in drills, actual game play. Students will also receive individual stroke analysis.

Table Tennis PE 185

This class is designed to instruct the beginner and to develop further understanding and ability in table tennis.
